A World of Magic was such a delightfully enjoyable experience that by the end we found ourselves remarking that our faces hurt from smiling so much. The game is based on a very familiar film and book property about a young wizard who heads to wizarding school. On a totally unrelated note, Harry Potter fans will love this room. 😉 Gameplay took place via a proxy player with a live POV camera. We instructed our player throughout the space to solve both physical and magical puzzles. One moment in particular stood out as distinctly unique to this format, as you would never be allowed to do this thing in a real-life escape room. In a virtual one, however, it was perfectly safe. Suffice it to say, we loved this room and highly recommend it.

A World of Magic was a wonderful voyage into the world of wizardry, complete with some great puzzles that translated well over video. The game was created specifically for the video escape room format, and had truly awesome moments that excited all of our players. Mystery Motel Murcia used well implemented, on-theme props ‘magically’ throughout the game. Even after the end of the world is over, I’d absolutely recommend playing this experience!

A World of Magic was delightful, sweet, enchanting, and fun. Alicia, our gamemaster / avatar, was warm, inviting, and lovely. I became engrossed in the game and forgot I was at home. In a word, this experience was magical.

Once we began, our game moved forward with a nice tempo and rhythm. Each of the puzzles was interesting, unique, and thematically consistent. I’m surprised that there was so much cleverness in this kind of game. I think this really speaks to the designer’s love of this genre and skill in it.

While part of me wishes the game were longer because we were having so much fun, I think the length of time was just right for this style of escape game.
