In this lighthearted tale of nautical nonsense, we’re hoisting the sails in our magnificent quest for some other pirate’s treasure. Our dearly departed Captain Spoopy Bones has suffered a serious sabotage and it’s up to us to set the ship to rights. With the help of our trusty parrot sidekick, we’ve gotta escape the brig, raise the anchors, set the course, and of course, swab the poop deck.

Captain Spoopy Bones set a high bar when it first came out in 2018, and it has continued to be a fan favorite. Creators Mike Dold and Rick George of Dolrick’s Escape Room join us in this Spoilers Club for a deep dive into this hilarious game. We break down how they came up with the concept for this game and chat about what makes it so special. Mike and Rick tell us about all the little touches they added for humor. I especially loved hearing about how they changed a puzzle to balance gameplay by literally flipping a door.
