We finally hosted an escape room tour. It was about 18 months late… delayed on account of apocalypse… but it finally happened.
61 escape room players gathered in Montreal and spent 3 days playing escape rooms, socializing, and remembering how damn great it felt to play together.
In my opinion, Montreal is 1 of the top 3 escape room markets in North America (NOLA & LA being the other 2, in no particular order). For Lisa and me, it was such a delight to see the look on people’s faces when they emerged from these games.
There were also some new games that were created right before or during the pandemic. The first of those new reviews published yesterday, and it truly was a special game.

I expect we’ll be revisiting Montreal on future tours.
More than the games, the most special part of those 3 days in Montreal was spending them with escape room people. Some were old friends; some were new friends. There’s something special about the kinds of folks who like to think, collaborate, and have an adventure in their spare time.
The whole group was fun, smart, and kind to one another. We all had a lot of extra hurdles to deal with to make international travel possible, and this group handled it all with style and grace. We had no positive tests, no border crossing issues, and no drama.
This whole website is built around and dedicated to tangible, real-life, entertainment. For nearly 2 years, that was taken from us.
I’m so happy to report that our site, our community, and many of the games we love have endured. The tour of Montreal was an incredible reminder of why we do what we do.
Thank you, Patreon backers. It was so wonderful to see a handful of you in person in Montreal, and we look forward to seeing some of you in New Jersey in November. Your support, from near and far, means a lot to us.
