This November, we’re hosting our second European Tour:

We are taking Escape Immerse Explore to Paris!

Escape Immerse Explore: Paris 2026

Over the past two years, Paris has emerged as a new powerhouse escape room market. Unlike so many strong escape room regions, Paris isn’t easily associated with a single style of game design. If there is a defining feature of Parisian escape rooms it’s a profound playfulness. Whether the game is intense, action-packed, or scary, there is a sense of playfulness that permeates everything that we found in this city.

We didn’t visit Paris expecting to create a Tour in 2026, but by the end of our trip we weren’t just confident that we could run a Tour… we felt compelled to do so immediately.

The Paris Tour logo is coming soon.

The Paris games are easily accessible via the Paris metro. This means we’ll all get to spend a full week in Paris. We won’t be riding buses or changing hotels. In between your games, you can visit some of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, eat your weight in croissants, or play more escape rooms!

Paris is home to a variety of styles of escape rooms from fantastical to horror, to truly, well, Live Cinema. It is our pleasure to share these outstanding games with you. Together, we’ll explore this city’s incredible transformation into an escape room destination.

Tour Dates

Monday, November 9 – Thursday, November 12, 2026

This is a 4-day Tour.

We strongly encourage attendees to spend a full week in Paris.

Plan to arrive in Paris on or before Sunday, November 8th. We strongly recommend North Americans arrive on Saturday, November 7th, to give yourself time to get over jet lag, and account for any potential flight delays.

The welcome event will be Sunday night. Tour games will be scheduled all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, wrapping up pretty late on Thursday night.

Book your return flight for Friday, November 13th (or later).

There will be limited flexibility for individuals with tight travel schedules.

FAQ

Are there any Golden Lock Award-winning games on this Tour?

Yes… but most of them haven’t received their Golden Lock awards yet. Stay tuned for those announcements in some of the upcoming reviews.

At this time, we can only list Fantastic Warehouse by Pandore & Associés, which won in 2025. But rest assured, there will be quite a few more.

Are there any TERPECA winning games on this Tour?
  • The Taxidermist* – 2025 🏆 #12
  • The Grand Hotel de Paris – 2025 🏆 #15
  • Full Experience: The Magician of Paris & The Funhouse* – 2025 🏆 #72

There are past TERPECA winners as well. Plus there two new games on this Tour that we expect will be in contention in 2026.

*You will be playing these as linked experiences, making it the Ultimate Experience, and spending extra time in the City of Martyrs, the world created by Deep Inside.

Why are some renowned games not included on the Tour?

In a city with multiple games in connected universes, a Tour schedule quickly becomes restrictive. The reality is that we can’t include every game. We had to make choices.

Other games in Paris present logistical challenges that make them incompatible with a Tour schedule.

We believe we’ve picked a selection of games that showcases the region, both its historical significance and its future impact. This selection showcases a diversity of styles and themes, and many memorable moments – driven by puzzles, story, set, and performers – that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

While I’m traveling to Paris, what else should I play?

We will be publishing Paris reviews over the next few months, and updating our Paris Recommendations Guide.

We will also review some incredible games outside of Paris that we recommend many folks visit.

We will have a Discord channel for ticket holders where we expect many people will coordinate extending their trips to play other games in the region.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you will need a valid passport to enter Paris.

You are responsible for your own border crossing.

You are responsible for your own border crossing.

You are responsible for your own border crossing.

If you don’t have a passport yet, start that process early. It can take a while.

Can I buy a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore Paris if I’ve already played games at these companies?

That’s going to depend on how many games you’ve already played. If you’ve played more than 2 games that will be featured on the Tour, you probably can’t join. You can fill out a ticket form anyway and we’ll let you know.

Unlike with some past Tours, it is unlikely we will be able to substitute Tour games for other games. Everyone will be playing the same selection of games. If you’ve already played some of the games, you’ll be replaying (without spoiling for your teammates) or sitting that one out.

How many horror games are on this Tour? Do I have to play them?

There are 3 horror games:

  • PANIK ROOM – The Deveaux Manor
  • PANIK ROOM – Cobayes
  • The One Escape – The Grand Hotel of Paris

Interestingly, it is possible for an individual player to participate in the games at PANIK ROOM and avoid the scariest parts, as long as their other team members are willing to confront the horror directly. This is an uncommon gameplay mechanic, presented in two very different ways.

For The Grand Hotel of Paris, this is a more classic style of European horror where the whole group experiences it together.

If you’re nervous about horror, we will help you get through – and maybe even come to love – these games. We have proven methods to help players experience horror games.

When do events start and end?

Plan to arrive in Paris on or before Sunday, November 8th. We strongly recommend North Americans arrive on Saturday, November 7th to give yourself time to get over jet lag, and account for any potential flight delays.

The welcome event will be on Sunday. Escape rooms will be scheduled all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, wrapping up pretty late on Thursday night.

Book your return flight for Friday, November 13th (or later).

Can you give me a sense of the schedule?

You will play 2-3 games per day.

Most of the games on the Tour are longer than 60 minutes. Some are a lot longer. Additionally, some of the games are in connected universes, linked together, so that multiple games become one extra long experience.

You will have different teammates each day of the Tour.

This Tour does not leave Paris, and we’ll stay in the same hotel every night.

How will we get from game to game?

We suggest the metro! The Paris metro is really easy to use. It will be easy to get from the Tour hotel to the games.

Will I get to choose which escape rooms I play?

On this Tour, unlike some others, everyone will play the same games. We’ve specifically selected these games to showcase the region.

You’ll also find out your specific schedule of escape rooms far enough in advance that you can book additional games for yourself (many at discounted prices) during the rest of your time in the Paris.

How many people will be on each team?

We will have teams of 4 for all the escape rooms on the Tour.

Can I choose my teammates?

If you purchase 2 tickets together, you’ll play all of your games together.

If you purchase a single ticket, you may flag 1 other person to play all of your games with. We guarantee this request will be honored… provided that you both request one another.

You may request as many people as you’d like to have on your team for at least a few games and we’ll honor these requests to the best of our ability.

Your pre-tour survey will also help us select teammates with whom we think you’ll gel.

I’m coming with a group of friends and we’re going to schedule additional rooms outside of the Tour. Can you make sure we play the same schedule during the Tour?

Yes, provided your group is 6 people or less.

While you won’t play all your games on the Tour together, we will arrange it so that you play all the same games on the same days, even though you’ll play them at different times. This will simplify your scheduling for additional games and other activities outside of the Tour.

In order to ensure this, you must tell us who you are traveling with in your pre-tour survey.

If your group is more than 6 people, we will not be able to accommodate entirely matched schedules.

I don’t know anyone else coming. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. A lot of our regulars travelers alone. Coming alone is just an opportunity to meet new friends.

We’ll put you in groups with other escape room enthusiasts from far and wide.

What if I don’t like my teammates?

We will use the pre-tour surveys to group you with teammates whom we think you’ll enjoy playing with. On past Tours, many groups loved playing together so much that they booked additional rooms together at the end of the Tour.

That said, we will vary your teammates. You will typically only play 3 games with the exact same team.

What should I do about airfare and hotels?

Your ticket does not cover travel or lodging. We will designate a Tour hotel where we will have a hotel block with a great rate. Hotel block information will be emailed to ticket holders.

Are meals included in the ticket price?

Your tickets do not include any meals.

Is there a “Champion” or “VIP” or “Premium” ticket?

No, there is only 1 ticket type for this Tour.

Why is this Tour more expensive than domestic Tours?

This Tour is among our most premium products to date. Additionally, everything about it is a more expensive for us to produce, and the price reflects increased costs and effort.

We are confident that the trip is worth it, otherwise we wouldn’t have put in the effort to create it.

Do I need to speak French?

No. All the escape rooms are 100% playable in English. They can also all be played in French, and you’ll see different ways of tackling bilingualism in escape rooms over the course of the Tour.

Also, anyone in a service role in Paris (i.e. waiter, bartender, hotel staff) speaks English, so you should have no problem speaking English in restaurants, or asking for directions, or anywhere else outside of the escape rooms.

If you choose to travel outside of Paris, you will encounter people who don’t speak English.

I can’t make it that week. Will you run this Tour again?

We can’t really say. We are planning to run additional Tours, but they may go to other destinations.

What about Montreal? Will you run that Tour again?

Yes, we are planning to run Montreal again, but this year we are bringing RECON Laval to the Montreal area (August 16-17, 2026). We don’t know yet exactly when we’ll run the Montreal Tour again.

How do I choose between coming to this Tour and RECON?

All of our events are designed for both creators and players. RECON Laval will be a professional event that combines learning, entertainment, and conversation. There will be opportunities to play games, but that won’t be the focus of the event. On this Tour, playing escape rooms is the focus.

If it’s impossible for you to attend both events, we suggest that a player lean toward Escape Immerse Explore: Paris and a creator select RECON Laval.

I’m an escape room owner/ employee or immersive experience designer. Can I participate?

Yes! All are welcome.

I have nothing to do with the escape room industry. I just want to play all the games! Can I participate?

Yes! Really… all are welcome.

Can I buy a ticket for someone under 18?

Unfortunately, no. All participants must be 18 years of age at the start of the Tour.

This is an insurance thing.

I’m concerned about the uncertainty around COVID-19. Should I buy a ticket?

This is the world we have to operate in now. We do our best to remain aware and adaptable, and support the needs of all guests. If you are high risk, know that a Tour is a social event, and make the right decision for you.

Is there a COVID-19 vaccination requirement?

No.

Can I sponsor an Escape Immerse Explore event?

Contact us about sponsorship opportunities.
