Room Escape Artist

Latest update: August 2025

We were blown away by the top escape rooms in Milwaukee.

If this small sample size in March 2022 is any indication of where the region is heading, we’re truly excited to see what’s next from the creators there.

If you’re in the area, check out our guide to Chicago, Illinois.

Market Standouts

• INVASION!, 60 to Escape (Greendale, WI) 🔒
• Merlin’s Legacy, 60 to Escape (Greendale, WI)
• Pirate’s Curse, 60 to Escape (Greendale, WI)

Something Different

Wizard Quest is not an escape room.  It is a sprawling, three-floor, non-linear, narrative-and-exploration adventure. Located in Wisconsin Dells (a 2 1/2 hour drive northwest of Milwaukee), Wizard Quest is a fun excuse to explore lovingly crafted, delightful environments that can be engaged with on different levels to appeal to different ages.

Regional Roadtrip

On the way down to Chicago:

• Duke’s Farm, 60 to Escape (Gurnee, IL)
• Hidden Temple, 60 to Escape (Gurnee, IL)
• Mystery Manor, 60 to Escape (Gurnee, IL)
• The Passage, Twisted Limits Escape Rooms (McHenry, IL)

REPOD

On REPOD, co-hosts Peih-Gee Law and David Spira interview immersive gaming creators about the nuance of their craft.

During Season 10, we chatted with Stephen and Stevie Kristof of 60 to Escape, creators of escape rooms, mini-golf, and haunts.
