We’d like to get to know you a little better.

After all, we create content for you all the time. We publish written content 365 days a year. We publish 24 Reality Escape Pod episodes per year as well as 26 PG’s Playhouse episodes. And that doesn’t get into the Patreon exclusive Bonus Show and The Spoilers Club. Since we’re making all of this content with you in mind, we hope you’d be so kind as to answer a few questions.

REA Census FAQ

Why are you sending a census now?

It’s been a few years since we checked in with our readers and listeners, and our audience has grown a lot since then. It’s a good thing to do from time to time.

What was your inspiration for this census format?

This survey is heavily influenced by the Vlogbrothers Nerdfighteria Census. (If you’re going to steal, steal from the best.)

Will I get access to the results?

Our analysis of the results will be the focus on the season finale of REPOD Season 11 this spring. This analysis will also be published in written form around the same time.

Is this survey anonymous?

Yes… unless you do something to deanonymize yourself like writing your name into a field.

Some of these questions are funny?

Yes.

What if I don’t know how to answer a question? Or I don’t feel comfortable answering?

Almost every question is optional. You can just skip that question.

What is the deadline to fill our the census?

We will close the Census sometime in the spring so that we can analyze the data in time to record the finale of REPOD Season 11.

I found a typo!

Please let us know, but also understand that we likely will not be able to fix it without killing the survey. Letting us know will help us edit it out of future surveys.

Should I fill out the census?

You should fill out this survey if any of the following are true:

You regularly read RoomEscapeArtist.com (REA)
You regularly listen to Reality Escape Pod (REPOD)
You turn to REA or REPOD as one of your primary sources of escape room information
You’ve attended any of our events, including RECON or our Escape Immerse Explore Tours
You’re planning to attend (or just considering attending) our events in the future
You want to share your opinions with us
