Majestic Escape Game invented their own sci-fi world for Galactic Mission, creating a journey through winding spaces, exciting gameplay, and structurally interesting mechanics. Considering this game is in the heart of Paris, Majestic Escape Game utilized their modest space judiciously, allowing players to truly explore every inch, both vertically and horizontally. Galactic Mission shone with its detailed world and unique set transitions. The experience felt like it was a living and breathing ever-changing world for us to explore.

In Galactic Mission, we the players had control over how we played (pretty standard) and some of the aesthetic choices of the world (super unusual!). And we ate up little touches, like some special deliveries.
We also adored seeing Majestic Escape Game implement an homage to their favorite escape rooms in the area inside of Galactic Mission, allowing our team to “ooooh” and “ahhhh” over both the games we have played and the games we had scheduled!
If you’re in Paris, Galactic Mission is well worth the stop to see the world Majestic Escape Game has created and to gamble away all of your credits (before your team gets angry with you).
Who is this for?

Story
Our star system, Alpha Centauri, had been living under the rule of the Consortium organization for many centuries. It was time we took them out. As a team of fighters, we had to take down the leaders of the Consortium and gain our independence.

Setting
Galactic Mission began in the city center full of storefronts, casinos, and maintenance hatches galore. Each space of this set was meticulously crafted with even the smallest of details lit up, labeled, and weathered to fit in the universe.

Gameplay
Majestic Escape Game’s Galactic Mission was a standard escape room with a moderate level of difficulty.
Core gameplay revolved around searching, making observations and connections, communicating, puzzling, gambling, solving mini-games, and managing currency.
Analysis
➕ Galactic Mission came to life around us with a sprawling, ever-changing detailed set. Majestic Escape Game utilized their modest space to their advantage, using every inch of the vertical height for exploration. Transitions between the scenes were in-world and exciting.
➕/➖ We had the ability to change some of the atmospherics in the space, customizing our environment, which was an unusual and welcome touch. However, these were barely noticeable. We wished they were brighter and more apparent during gameplay.
➕ A massive late-game mechanical interaction rolled past us with surprise. The aha moment of finding and utilizing this mechanism paid off.
➕ Guardrails were implemented during specific gameplay sequences to keep irresponsible players from making the game un-winnable.
➖ One device used throughout the game was truly a one-player interaction, and it became a burden for the player who got stuck using it. A good chunk of gameplay was bottlenecked by this device, and we wished the elements delivered through this device were portrayed elsewhere in the game space.
➖ A few puzzles could have benefited from more overt cluing and slightly more signposting. Some of the longer interactions and starting points lacked direction.
❓ We loved the concept of an adorable creature to save and interact with, but the character never became as lovable and interactive as we’d hoped.
❤️ Majestic Escape Game created an homage to their favorite escape rooms in the area… inside of Galactic Mission! We spent a good portion of the post-game admiring this, seeing games we had played, and games that we had yet to play on our Paris adventure. We recommend playing this game later in an escape room trip to reminisce on the rooms you’ve played!
Tips For Visiting
- We loved Baguette (yes, this is a terrible name for a restaurant in Paris) for some tasty and unique Asian-inspired French cuisine.
- This game is available in French and English
- 👖We recommend knee pads. Consider these escape pants.
