Season 1 was a pandemic project. It launched in February of 2021. We had a lot of wonderful guests that covered a diverse range of immersive and gaming arts. In this season, we gave ourselves the freedom to try out a lot of different things. Most of them worked… which gave us the confidence to move forward.

Peih-Gee and I barely knew each other when this project blasted off, but throughout season 1, we built a really great chemistry.

Most of the guests from season 1 were folks we had established relationships with already, and had known for some time. There were 2 guests that really jump out at us. First, we’re really thankful to Elan Lee of Exploding Kittens for being willing to be a guinea pig in episode one. In retrospect it was a bold move to interview such a renowned created in our debut episode… but that’s who we are. Second, Barry Meade of Fireproof games, creators of The Room, was our first long shot guest. We were surprised that he said yes, and honored to tell him how much of an impact his company has had on the escape room world. There aren’t a lot of opportunities in life like that.
