TERPECA

TERPECA (Top Escape Rooms Project Enthusiasts’ Choice Award) is an attempt to find the very best escape rooms in the world by leveraging the experience of the most experienced escape room enthusiasts in the world.

Each year the project consists of a nomination phase and a voting phase. You need to have played at least 200 games to nominate, and at least 100 games to vote.

This is not a Room Escape Artist project, but David and Lisa do share a vote on the TERPECA board and do their best to help guide it. They also participate as nominators and voters and so should you!

New in 2024

The TERPECA application process just got easier. Many enthusiasts keep track of their games via an online tool or app. If you use EscapeTheReview.co.uk (UK), EscapeAll.gr (Greece), EscapeGame.fr (France), Escape-Roomers.com (Italy), EscapeTalk.nl (BeNeLux), LockMe.pl (Poland), Morty.app (USA), or The-Escapers.com (France), include your userid for this site in your application. If all your games are tracked there, that can be used as evidence of your official game count.

Timeline

Signs ups are open now!

The nomination window will be open in early October, with nominations due October 31.

The voting window will be open in early November, with rankings due November 30.

The awards will be announced live on Saturday, December 21 at 1pm Pacific time.

Please don’t wait to sign up. Submitting your application too close to these deadlines really puts strain on the TERPECA folks to vet everyone in time. Let’s make their job easier by applying early.
