Palace Games is located in the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA. The Palace of Fine Arts was originally constructed for the 1915 World’s Fair and Palace Games draws on this history in their escape room designs.

Escape Rooms

This tour will feature 4 escape rooms, most of which run longer than 60 minutes and offer as much content as 2 typical escape rooms.

At Palace Games, these escape rooms are all booked privately. It can be difficult for traveling players to put together a large enough team to visit Palace Games.

With a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore: The Palace, we put together the team and you play the games!

Group Event

Additionally, we’re thrilled to offer the Escape The Palace puzzle hunt. This event requires a minimum of 30 participants and is very difficult to book outside of a large gathering.

Your ticket also includes:

  • A weekend with Lisa and David as escape room tour guides
  • Sunday Escape The Palace group event with all tour participants
  • A talk by Lisa and David
  • One group meal
  • Event t-shirt
  • Networking with other tour attendees
  • The option to play an escape room with Lisa or David
  • Teammates who are as excited about this trip as you are!
  • … and surprises!

FAQ

Why The Palace?

Palace Games offers some of the most incredible escape rooms in the country. It’s home to 1 Golden Lock-In Award winner and a few others that probably would have won in the past, except that Lisa wasn’t with David when he first visited Palace Games in 2016.

It’s also really challenging for traveling players to book at Palace Games because the games are massive and they are all private booking.

Why June?

Honestly, because it works with our insane travel schedule and it works for Palace Games. Also, why not host a tour on David’s birthday?

How will we get from game to game?

All the games will be at The Palace of Fine Arts. We’ll have a recommended hotel in walking distance of The Palace and another that’s just a taxi/Uber/Lyft ride away.

I live in/near San Francisco. How can I be involved in Escape Immerse Explore: The Palace?

We are including locals in the group event on Sunday. This will be a chance to meet everyone on the tour. “Local” tickets are now on sale. See the Escape the Palace / Talk ticket above. (Non-locals who have played everything at Palace Games will be able to book “local” tickets too.)

What is the difference between “weekend” and “weekday” tickets for Escape Immerse Explore: The Palace?

The days and the price. Saturday is a popular day at Palace Games, so it’s more expensive to run this tour on Saturday.

What is the schedule for each ticket type?

Weekend – Games start at 8am on Saturday morning. The last scheduled event is over by 2pm on Sunday

Weekday – Events start on Sunday at 11am. The last scheduled event is over by 3pm on Monday.

Will I get to choose which escape rooms I play?

Everyone will play the same 4 games and the same group event.

Can I buy a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans too?

Absolutely! Please fill out the tour ticket contact formtwice. You’ll be invoiced for each tour separately.

Can I choose my teammates?
You’ll be playing most games as a group of 6. You may select a buddy or put together a full group. The pre-tour survey will cover these types of questions.

I don’t have a team. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. We’ll put you in a group with other escape room enthusiasts from far and wide.

What should I do about airfare and hotels?

Your ticket does not cover travel or lodging. We are setting up hotel blocks in San Francisco. Hotel block information will be emailed to ticket purchasers soon.

Are meals included in the ticket price?

Your ticket includes one casual group meal. You will have opportunities to purchase food the tours.

I can’t make it that weekend. Will you run this tour again?

It’s likely we’ll continue to run tours. New Orleans was so popular that we’re running it for the second time this year. That said, future tours may go to other cities. Or perhaps you can attend Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans in mid July instead.

Are these (New Orleans and The Palace) the only Escape Immerse Explore events for 2019?

These are the only large-scale, multi-day tours in 2019. If we do any others events, they will be on a smaller-scale, and geared toward the northeast, although other folks will be welcome. We do not guarantee any other ticketed events in 2019.

What if I don’t like my teammates?

We will use the pre-tour surveys to group you with teammates whom we think you’ll enjoy playing with. On past tours, many groups loved playing together so much that they booked additional rooms together at the end of the tour.

That said, we will vary your teammates. You won’t play more than 3 games with the exact same team unless you requested to always play with these same people.

I’m an escape room owner/ employee or immersive experience designer. Can I participate?
Yes!

I have nothing to do with the escape room industry. I just want to play all the games! Can I participate?

Yes!

Can I buy a ticket for someone under 18?

Unfortunately, no. All participants must be 18 years of age at the start of the tour.

Can I sponsor an Escape Immerse Explore event?

Contact us about sponsorship opportunities. We are not accepting escape room companies as sponsors.

What if I have other questions?

Contact us.

See you this summer!
