Why New Orleans?
David has a vicious gumbo habit.
Southern Louisiana offers some of the finest escape rooms in the country. It’s home to 4 Golden Lock-In Award-winning games.
Given the proximity of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, we can put together a bus tour that takes you to the best games in the region.
And really, who doesn’t want to spend a weekend in New Orleans?
Honestly, because it works with our insane travel schedule and it works for the companies hosting our groups. We know July can be scorchingly hot, but escape rooms are indoor, air-conditioned activities, so we aren’t too worried about the summer heat. The bus and the hotel will also be air-conditioned.
How will we get from game to game?
The games in New Orleans will be walkable from our recommended hotel. They would also be a very short taxi/ Lyft/ Uber ride. On Sunday, we will have a tour bus taking the group to Baton Rouge.
Can I attend Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans this year if I attended last year?
No, you cannot buy tickets to Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans again in 2019 if you attended in 2018. While a few of the games will be different, we’ll be featuring primarily the same games that you played last year.
Can I buy a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans if I’ve already played a few of the games at the companies in Louisiana?
Probably. Contact us. We worked this out for a few people last year. We’ll do what we can to make it feasible for you to join the tour.
What happened to Rise Escape Rooms? Weren’t they part of the New Orleans tour last year?
Rise Escape Rooms is closing their escape rooms on February 1st to focus on their seasonal haunted house business. We’re really sad that Rise is closing, but we are filling the gap on the tour with a few surprises. Trust us on this. We know you will be happy with the changes for the 2019 tour.
When do events start and end?
The first escape rooms will be on Friday afternoon, with a limited number of folks starting on Friday evening (available upon request). You will have escape rooms and free time in New Orleans on Saturday. The bus tour to Baton Rouge will be Sunday. The last event is Sunday evening in Baton Rouge. The bus will return to New Orleans late on Sunday night. (You could also choose not to return to New Orleans if you wanted to rent a car and visit more escape rooms, or fly home out of Baton Rouge.)
Will I get to choose which escape rooms I play?
No, but we’ll choose games specifically for you. You’ll fill out a fun pre-tour survey about your escape room preferences. We’re confident you’ll play a lot of games that you’ll love. Everyone will play 13th Gate Escape’s Cutthroat Cavern.
You’ll find out your escape room agenda far enough in advance that you can book additional games for yourself during the rest of your time in New Orleans.
How many tickets are available?
There are 48 tickets available for this year’s New Orleans tour. (We’ve expanded! Last year’s tour sold out at 42 tickets.)
Can I buy a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore: The Palace too?
Absolutely! Please fill out the tour ticket contact formtwice. You’ll be invoiced for each tour separately.
Can I choose my teammates?
You’ll be playing most games as a group of 6. You may select a buddy or put together a full group. The pre-tour survey will cover these types of questions.
I don’t have a team. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. We’ll put you in a group with other escape room enthusiasts from far and wide.
What should I do about airfare and hotels?
Your ticket does not cover travel or lodging. We are setting up a hotel block in New Orleans. Hotel block information will be emailed to ticket purchasers soon.
Are meals included in the ticket price?
Your ticket includes at least one casual group meal. You will have opportunities to purchase food during the tours.
I can’t make it that weekend. Will you run this tour again?
It’s likely we’ll continue to run tours. New Orleans was so popular that we’re running it for the second time this year. That said, future tours may go to other cities. Or perhaps you can attend Escape Immerse Explore: The Palace in early June instead.
Are these (New Orleans and The Palace) the only Escape Immerse Explore events for 2019?
These are the only large-scale, multi-day tours in 2019. If we do any others events, they will be on a smaller-scale, and geared toward the northeast, although other folks will be welcome. We do not guarantee any other ticketed events in 2019.
What if I don’t like my teammates?
We will use the pre-tour surveys to group you with teammates whom we think you’ll enjoy playing with. On past tours, many groups loved playing together so much that they booked additional rooms together at the end of the tour.
That said, we will vary your teammates. You won’t play more than 2 games with the exact same team unless you requested to always play with these same people.
I’m an escape room owner/ employee or immersive experience designer. Can I participate?
I have nothing to do with the escape room industry. I just want to play all the games! Can I participate?
Can I buy a ticket for someone under 18?
Unfortunately, no. All participants must be 18 years of age at the start of the tour.
Can I sponsor an Escape Immerse Explore event?
Contact us about sponsorship opportunities. We are not accepting escape room companies as sponsors.
What if I have other questions?
See you this summer!
We are looking forward to hosting two Escape Immerse Explore events this summer. We hope to see you in New Orleans!
