We’re thrilled to announce that we’re co-hosting a meetup with the Adventure Design Group when we visit San Francisco in August.
Details
- Monday, August 20 at 7:00pm
- The Laundry Gallery and Cafe (3359 26th St)
Speaking
We’ll also be giving a talk at the event. ADG has hosted a ton of amazing speakers over the years and we’re honored to be among them.
We’re going to:
- tell stories about some of our favorite escape rooms from our travels
- discuss trends in escape rooms
- share perspective on where we think the medium is going
- unpack what changes mean for the players
If you’re in the area, come on out, we’d love to meet you.
Opinion: I see a lot of escape rooms hitting their two year mark and beginning to bail. There is always someone selling their business on a facebook post. I personally think it’s old style rooms where the owner thought it might be get rich quick or only 2 year lease etc. Many many many facebook users think the industry is collapsing or too saturated to sustain. I’ve been in the industry for 3 years with continued growth and no signs of slowing down. Your thoughts on the industry and is it beginning to collapse and I’m just lucky? I ask you because you have been a ton of places.
Charles, we’re going to be releasing updated industry stats that dig into this, and discussing it in detail onstage at the Room Escape Conference in Nashville next week.
I will say this, people who are suffering tend to do so loudly. And as you’ve pointed out, just because a particular business is collapsing doesn’t mean that the market for that type of business is crumbling.
Stay tuned for more.
