If you’re new to escape rooms, Casino Heist would make an excellent introduction. The gameplay was smooth, fair, and clearly clued. Nothing was scary or intimidating, but there was just the right amount of challenge and excitement.
For more experienced players, Casino Heist was solid yet expected, landing similarly to just about every other casino-themed escape room I’ve encountered. The experience introduced some potentially interesting characters and story elements, but they only appeared briefly at the beginning and end and were never developed. With a more compelling story or a higher density of gameplay, Casino Heist had the opportunity to become something memorable.

I enjoyed all the content in Casino Heist; I just wanted there to be more of it, ideally with some extra layers and ahas in place of straightforward process puzzles. Captured LV Bethlehem lists Casino Heist as their most difficult game, and while it likely presents a challenge to their local audience, I caution experienced players to play chill, as even with a small team we finished quickly. That said, this pacing speaks to clean puzzle design that will help bring newer players back for more.
Within the Lehigh Valley, Captured LV delivers consistent quality, both in their experiences and customer service. The Haunted Theater remains the standout room at Captured LV Bethlehem, but if you have the time, Casino Heist would make a fun addition to your itinerary.

Story
We broke into Milton Moneybags’ casino to pull off the heist of the century.

Setting
Casino Heist took us to the glitzy County Casino. With various games tables, a bar, and a cashier’s office, the space was ready for a fun night out.

Gameplay
Captured LV’s Casino Heist was a standard escape room with a low to moderate level of difficulty.
Core gameplay revolved around solving puzzles and making observations.
Analysis
➕ The environment looked and felt like a cozy backroom casino, filled with actual casino game tables. An authentic Japanese slot machine was especially fun.
➕ The gameplay was logical and thematic, with clear signposting and lock mapping. We flowed through the experience at a steady clip without ever losing the thread of what we should work on.
➖ Some of the puzzles lacked depth and felt random or small within the space. For a premise centered around play and excitement, the gameplay was surprisingly low energy.
➖ Casino Heist opened with a classic “disable the security system” laser maze that was over before it ever began. There was an opportunity to better choreograph this moment to involve all players more actively.
➕/➖ We enjoyed a dynamic mini-game that filled the space. While this interaction was already fun, additional small lighting or sound effects could have leveled up the action.
➕ A cool reveal shifted our perception of the environment.
Tips For Visiting
- Casino Heist contains brief moments of flashing lights, as well as toy guns (though there is no implied or simulated violence.)
- There’s a parking lot behind Captured LV, as well as plenty of metered street parking in the immediate vicinity.
- Captured LV Bethlehem is located in the heart of historic Bethlehem, with tons of great food options within a few blocks walking distance. In the shopping center where Captured LV is located, I recommend Stations Cafe for reasonably priced healthy and diner-style fare, and Bethlehem Brew Works for pub food and microbrews.
