FAQ

Why New Orleans?

This is a popular escape room travel destination with incredible and unique games, and a fun culture. Plus many people have requested that we run this tour for a third time.

Are there any Golden Lock Award-winning games on this tour?

Yes, many! There’s Cutthroat Cavern and Tomb of Anubis at 13th Gate and Inventor’s Attic at Escape My Room. The original Spellbound also won this award.

Why can’t I find any reviews for some of the games at the companies on the tour?

Lisa and David haven’t yet played The Voodoo Cemetery, Revenge on the Bayou at Clue Carré and The Asylum, Disappearance of Flight 13, and the new version of Spellbound at 13th Gate. We’ll play these games with the tour.

Can I buy a ticket to Escape Immerse Explore: New Orleans if I’ve already played games at these companies?

That’s going to depend on how much you’ve already played.

Contact us. We’ll make it work if we can.

How will we get from game to game?

In New Orleans, the games are pretty close to each other. You can walk or Uber/ Lyft.

We’ll take a bus to Baton Rouge to visit 13th Gate.

When do events start and end?

The event begins with the meetup on Saturday, November 12, in the evening. This is a casual welcome shindig.

The event officially ends when the bus return to New Orleans on Monday night. Do not expect to catch a Monday evening flight home.

Please plan your schedule so that you arrive in New Orleans on Saturday and stay until Tuesday. If this isn’t possible, please contact us.

Is this tour shorter than your past tours?

The games are packed more tightly together this time to allow travelers more flexibility… whether that means extending your vacation in New Orleans or getting home in time to travel for Thanksgiving.

If you want to play more escape rooms, this is a great city for taking advantage of the discount codes that come with your ticket and playing more games.

Will I get to choose which escape rooms I play?

Yes, you’ll fill out a fun pre-tour survey about your escape room preferences. We’re confident you’ll play a lot of games that you’ll love.

You’ll find out your escape room agenda far enough in advance that you can book additional games for yourself (at discounted prices) during the rest of your time in New Orleans.

How many people will be on each team?

At Clue Carré and Escape My Room, you’ll have teams of 4 players and at 13th Gate, you’ll have teams of 6 players. (6 is a good number for these games, trust us.)

Can I choose my teammates?

You may flag 1 other person to play all of your games with. We guarantee this request will be honored… provided that you both request one another.

You may request as many people as you’d like to have on your team for at least a few games and we’ll honor these requests to the best of our ability.

Your pre-tour survey will also help us select teammates with whom we think you’ll gel.

I’m coming with a group of friends and we’re going to schedule additional rooms outside of the tour. Can you make sure we play the same schedule during the tour?

Yes. While you won’t play all your games on the tour together, we will arrange it so that you play all the same games as each other, even though you’ll play them at different times. This will simplify your scheduling for additional games outside of the tour.

In order to ensure this, you must tell us who you are traveling with in your pre-tour survey.

I don’t know anyone else coming. Will that be a problem?

Not at all. A lot of our regulars travel alone. Coming alone is just an opportunity to meet new friends.

We’ll put you in groups with other escape room enthusiasts from far and wide.

What if I don’t like my teammates?

We will use the pre-tour surveys to group you with teammates whom we think you’ll enjoy playing with. On past tours, many groups loved playing together so much that they booked additional rooms together at the end of the tour.

That said, we will vary your teammates. You likely won’t play more than 2 or 3 games with the exact same team.

What should I do about airfare and hotels?

Your ticket does not cover travel or lodging. We have a hotel block in New Orleans near the escape rooms with a great rate. Hotel block information will be emailed to ticket holders soon.

Are meals included in the ticket price?

Your ticket includes one meal at 13th Gate.

Your other meals are not covered, but we’ll share restaurant recommendations for New Orleans.

I can’t make it that weekend. Will you run this tour again?

We can’t really say. We are planning to run additional tours, but they may go to other destinations.

I’m an escape room owner/ employee or immersive experience designer. Can I participate?

Yes! All are welcome.

I have nothing to do with the escape room industry. I just want to play all the games! Can I participate?

Yes! Really… all are welcome.

I live in New Orleans and I’ve already played all the games. How can I participate?

Send us a message. We’d love for you to be involved.

Can I buy a ticket for someone under 18?

Unfortunately, no. All participants must be 18 years of age at the start of the tour.

This is an insurance thing.

I’m concerned about the uncertainty around COVID-19. Should I buy a ticket?

This is the world we have to operate in now. We do our best to remain aware and adaptable, and support the needs of all Explorers. If you are high risk, know that a tour is a social event, and make the right decision for you.

Is there a COVID-19 vaccination requirement?

Yes. To attend this event, you must be fully vaccinated.

This means that at the time you are attending the event it has been at least fourteen (14) days since you have a current, fully vaccinated status with a COVID-19 vaccine series authorized by the FDA or by the WHO, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, or AstraZeneca vaccines.

Upon arrival at the event all FULLY VACCINATED attendees MUST provide proof of vaccination directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination (whether a physical copy or on a smartphone) OR through the use of approved verification app.

Can I sponsor an Escape Immerse Explore event?

Contact us about sponsorship opportunities. We are not accepting escape room companies as sponsors.

What if I have other questions?
