Reminder: Los Angeles Meetup on April 17

If you’re in Los Angeles, stop by Hatch Escapes on Monday to hang out with some of the REA crew!

Also, we’ll be celebrating the launch of Hatch Escapes’ new at-home narrative puzzle game, Mother of Frankenstein.

Palm trees at sunset, text reads, "LA Escape Room Meetup: Hosted by Room Escape Artist."

  • Date: Monday, April 17, 2023
  • Time: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM PST (drop in whenever)
  • Location: Hatch Escapes (1919 3rd Avenue, Los Angeles, CA)

Feel free to bring a snack or beverage to share.

Thank you to Terry and Tommy from Hatch Escapes for providing the venue!

Please RSVP.

It’s a free event, but we’d like to know how many people to expect.

What to Expect

  • It’s a casual event where we’ll all hang out.
  • Lisa and David will give a brief talk around 8:30pm.
  • Funbi is bringing his newest game! (Instagram)
  • Folks will be playing The Nest (see below).
  • The Hatch team might give tours.
  • Plus… Tommy and Terry will speak briefly about Mother of Frankenstein.

Product Launch!

Since we’ll all be gathering… this event is also going to be the soft launch for Hatch Escapes’ new at-home narrative puzzle game, Mother of Frankenstein, which begins delivering to Kickstarter backers next week. Copies of MoF will be available for purchase and general perusal, and Tommy and Terry will speak briefly about the wild two-and-a-half-year development process and what ended up inside of the game. There will be punch. Also, given that MoF is a gamified retelling of the life of Mary Shelley, feel free to accessorize your outfit with Frankenstein neck bolts or random 19th-century British accoutrements!

Bonus: The Nest

In conjunction with this meetup, Hatch Escapes will open The Nest for bookings exclusively for attendees of this event. In order to book that night, however, you’ll need to enter the password: roomescapeartist. (When you RSVP at the Eventbrite link above, you’ll see the password in the event description there too.) Go to Hatch Escapes website to book The Nest, and enter the password to complete your booking.
